Over 97% of our organic food waste ends up in landfills and incinerators each year. Keep your organic material out of the landfill and put it to work on our learning farm. Instead of throwing your food scraps in the trash, let Front Door to Farm pick food scraps up from your front door and let us complete the farm to table to farm circle! With the use of our compost system as well as our pigs, "Porky" & "Petunia", we make rich compost to grow our pumpkins, squash and gourds. We serve Rochester, MN and surrounding areas.
WHAT WE DO:
We will provide you with a red bucket and lid. When your bucket is filled, we pick it up from your front door to create healthy and rich soil at our farm as well as sharing the compost back with you too! We provide our customers with a bucket of fresh compost for gardening in the Spring, and a large pumpkin grown from the compost in the Fall.
WHAT YOU DO:
Keep your bucket near your kitchen to add your spoiled fruit, egg shells, veggie scraps, and coffee grounds. When it is your pick-up day, simply put your red bucket by your front door, and we will collect the contents.We leave your the red bucket, and take the contents to the farm to put it to work!
